New CDA Academy Track
CDA Academy Expands with Summer Session Track for Policy Makers, Planners and Product Managers
Workshop offers unprecedented opportunity for implementers and policy makers to investigate and discuss the role of data standards in healthcare
May 12, 2011 – Lantana Consulting Group announced today the addition of a second track at its popular CDA Academy workshop. Policy makers, planners and product managers can come for a half-session, interact with the hands-on developers, get the basics on the core specifications and take time in a small group setting to work through the implications of standards-based interoperability for their own domain.
In addition to the regular faculty, Bob Dolin, MD, chair of HL7, Blackford Middleton, MD, corporate director of Clinical Informatics Research & Development at Partners Healthcare System, and Liora Alschuler, co-editor of HL7 Clinical Document Architecture (CDA), will be on hand to discuss topics of strategic importance, including:
- HIT Policy: What is the Roadmap to Meaningful Use?
- Healthcare Interoperability, templated and greenCDA
- Quality Reporting: Making it Operational from the EMR
The workshop will convene at The Hanover Inn on the campus of Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire June 27-30, 2011. Students can register online at www.cdaacademy.com. Early bird registration ends June 1, 2011.
The full implementers HL7 CDA and Continuity of Care Document (CCD) track will be offered and enriched, in turn, by the interaction at the policy level. The implementers track runs the full week, June 27-July 1, 2011.
