National Public Health Week 2024
Written by Molly Ballard and Virgie Fields
The American Public Health Association (APHA) sponsors National Public Health Week annually to raise awareness and celebrate our contributions to public health. This year’s theme is Protecting, Connecting and Thriving: We Are All Public Health. Please join us in observing this weeklong celebration April 1-7.
Lantana comprises a team of highly skilled professionals with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, and We Are All Public Health. Our solutions and software products leverage technology to improve healthcare services for our communities. In 2023, we transitioned to a 100% employee-owned organization (ESOP) and became a Certified B Corporation, upholding the highest standards in governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. This week, we highlight our commitment to sustainable business practices combined with our passion for protecting the public’s health. The daily themes demonstrate how our work, both internally and externally, supports public health by protecting, connecting, and creating thriving communities. We invite you to explore Lantana’s initiatives, including our eco-friendly practices, advancements in maternal health tracking, and innovations in public health surveillance.
This week’s schedule:
- Monday – Civic Engagement
- Tuesday – Healthy Neighborhoods
- Wednesday – Climate Change
- Thursday – New Tools and Innovations
- Friday – Reproductive and Sexual Health
- Saturday – Emergency Preparedness
- Sunday – Future of Public Health
We look forward to celebrating Lantana’s contribution to public health! If a post resonates with you, we encourage you to share it on social media or discuss it with someone in your community.
