John Spinosa, MD, PhD

Dr. John Spinosa is the Chief Medical Consultant at Lantana Consulting Group. John is a physician who has worked as a pathologist specializing in laboratory medicine and molecular diagnostics. Much of his career was at Scripps Health where he held various medical leadership positions. He was an interim medical director at San Diego Blood Bank where he became involved with the challenges of extended blood compatibility matching.

After leaving Scripps in 2017 to co-found a liquid biopsy company, John has continued working in the laboratory industry in areas of molecular diagnostics and clinical informatics as a consultant to Lantana Consulting Group. He is currently spearheading our partnership with the San Diego Blood Bank in an effort to improve the current standard of care in blood donation matching.
