Human Resources Generalist

Primary purpose: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a wide variety of routine and complex administrative duties, with a primary focus on recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, reporting, employee relations, and human resources related projects.

A successful candidate will:

  • Lead detailed in-take meeting with the hiring manager to determine position specifications and provide recommendations on possible approaches to the search or candidate requirements
  • Review candidates who have applied via the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Actively source candidates outside of the ATS via resume databases, search engines, and networking sites.
  • Pre-screen and evaluate candidate qualifications against position requirements to determine which candidates move forward in the recruitment process
  • Schedule interviews with selected candidates and hiring manager or designated representative
  • Coordinate documentation for completion by the hiring manager or designee during the interview process
  • Ensure candidates are provided with timely updates concerning the status of their application and interview
  • Track the status of applicants in the ATS to ensure compliant government reporting
  • Work with the hiring manager and Human Resources Director to select the ideal candidate and prepare an offer of employment
  • Direct onboarding and offboarding processes and communicate with departments involved and affected by employee status changes
  • Complete weekly reports to track the status of recruitment and HR initiatives
  • Perform a wide variety of routine and complex administrative support services to ensure compliance, engagement, and support of the Human Resources function
  • Serve as point of contact for questions related to policies, procedures, or general employee support
  • Provides back-up coverage to administrative and human resources department when members are out of the office.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, human resources or related field, or commensurate work experience is required.
  • Minimum of five to seven years’ recruiting experience with demonstrated successes in a corporate setting
  • Experience using recruitment technologies such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and social media tools
  • Strong technical aptitude, with a desire to continually evaluate and improve processes
  • Knowledge of common Human Resources principles, practices, and metrics
  • A driven self-starter who is organized, detail oriented, and has excellent computer and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Paylocity HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience recruiting for a healthcare information technology company
  • Experience recruiting candidates for government contract work

Additional Job Information: 

  • This position is 100% work-from-home/remote. The ability to travel to the annual Lantana Retreat and occasional meetings is preferred.
