===========
Manifest

This distribution contains the following files:

CRSMinimumElements_v1.0.doc - CRS Minimum Elements Chart - list of elements, no explanatory text
CRSQuickStart_PBRv1.0.doc - the guide with explanatory text and links to reference materials
CRSsample.xml - populated sample file - this is the same file that is distributed with the CRS Implementation Guide.
EmptyCRSsample.xml - the sample file with all optional and variable content removed.
readme.txt - this readme file.
IMPL_CRSR2.xsl - sample style sheet for use with sample .xml files, see notes at "Style Sheet" below.
CRSQuickStart_PBRv1.0.htm - HTML version of Quickstart Guide
qsg.css - the style sheet for the HTML version of the Quickstart Guide
..\qs_images - this directory contains the graphics referenced by the HTML
version of the guide

===========
Links

The .doc file and .htm version file contain links to the CDA R2 Normative
Edition, May 2005 (web version) which can be downloaded from the members only
area: www.hl7.org/memonly/downloads. Please note that you must have HL7 member
log-in privileges to access and download the specification.

===========
Install/Extraction

If you do not have a copy of the full CDA R2 Normative Edition (web version)
then extract the files to any location on your local system. Be aware that only
links that do not reference this specification will work in either the Word or
HTML versions of the Guide.

If you do have a copy of the CDA R2 Normative Edition (web version) then extract
these files to the root directory that was created when you extracted the
contents of the CDA R2 zip file. Assuming you use the default directory on
extract, this would be ..\CDA_R2_NormativeWebEdition.

Note that the example files will not find the style sheet unless you move them
to the ..\infrastructure\CRS directory or otherwise link them in (via a catalog
file or modification of the sample file references.)

The exact method of reference and file placement is left to user preference.

===========
Known Issues with Word version and links

There is an apparent problem with navigation of the links from the Word document
to local files, even when it is placed in the proper location. If interaction is
useful, then we recommend the use of the HTML version of the file.

===========
Style Sheet

The method of rendering .xml files is not part of the normative CRS or HL7
specifications. Example style sheets are available as part of the CRS R2
distribution (CRS.xls) as well as the CRS Implementation Guide (impl_CRSr2.xls).
The sample style sheet created by Keith Boone, Dictaphone Corporation, for CRS
is supplied with this Quick Start Guide (IMPL_CRSR2.xsl). Note that any instance
of a style sheet may not render all of the content of the CRS header, depending
on the application environment, but must render the section title and
section.text field of the CRS body. For complete receiver rendering
requirements, see CRS 1.3.1
