Bob Yencha

Principal Consultant

Bob Yencha is an information and systems architect with over 20 years experience in enterprise systems design and process modeling in complex data environments. Since 1988, he has been involved in the development of object-oriented digital asset management and standardized semantic markup concepts and applications using SGML and XML. Bob’s current activities include a number of technical and management support roles for the Office of the National Coordinator.

Bob’s work for other clients includes supporting Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in their pilot projects with the Social Security Administration and the State of Massachusetts in their use of the HITSP Interoperability Specifications.

Bob is a participant in HL7′s Structured Documents WG where he has co-authored the Clinical Document Architecture (CDA R2) Normative Web Edition interface, co-edited the Continuity of Care Document (CCD) Implementation Guide, as well as co-authored the CDA Quick Start Guide, the CDA Care Record Summary (CRS) Quick Start, and the Continuity of Care Document (CCD) Quick Start Guide.  He is CDA Release 2 Certified.
