Over the past several years, we have developed and donated several license-free tools to accelerate standards adoption:

• CDA Validator: An online tool for validating instances of the CDA updated with Schematron rules for all current HL7 Implementation Guides as well as several pilot projects.
• CDA XSL StyleSheets: We’ve taken the best from several style sheets, updated them and created both a modular and a singleton style sheet that can be easily customized for any application.
• Template database (Tdb): A database for managing CDA templates, first developed for the CDC and now in use by several organizations. (To be released soon under an Apache license.)

In conjunction with the EHR Association we created Quick Start Guides for both CDA and the CCD. Each guide includes a basic description as well as a sample document instance:
